A male passenger was found dead in the airplane toilet on Tuesday 2 January, during a flight from the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife to Manchester in England.
That’s what the British local newspaper writes Evening Standard.
The tourist was found after passengers informed the cabin staff that the man had been in the toilet for an alarmingly long time.

After the passenger was found, the plane was immediately diverted to Cork in Ireland.
British budget airline Jet2 confirms the death to the Evening Standard:
“Flight LS918 from Tenerife to Manchester was diverted to Cork Airport on Tuesday 2 January when a passenger required medical attention.
Unfortunately, we can confirm that the passenger died, despite the efforts of our trained crew – who intervened as soon as they became aware of the incident.”

“This has been a difficult situation for our crew, and we want to thank them for their efforts. Our thoughts go out to the passenger’s family and friends at this very difficult time,” the statement reads.
In Ireland, the passengers had to change planes before continuing their journey to England. The plane landed in Manchester five hours later than planned.
