A man in his early 20s fell from the roof of a tall building in the center of Moss shortly after 06.30 on Wednesday morning.
The man was transported by air ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The young man died on Wednesday afternoon. This is stated by police attorney on duty Dag-Fredrik Reymert.
The next of kin have been notified of the death.
Threat situation ahead
The deceased man, a man in his 20s and a man in his 30s were in an apartment in the same building before the fall.
A threatening situation must have arisen in the apartment. Soon after, two of them moved out of the apartment and onto the roof of the building.
A man in his 30s has been charged with threats.
– He is charged with threats in connection with an episode that was at the forefront of the situation that has to do with the stay on the roof, says Reymert.

The police are now investigating to find out what caused the deceased to fall off the roof and die, says Reymert.
All those involved are known to the police from the past. There is a relationship between them, but they are not family.
Random witnesses alerted
The police have taken control of two men who they link to the crime scene. One of them has been arrested and charged with threats. The other currently has the status of a witness.
– Both will now be questioned in the morning hours. Both are linked to the same address, police operations manager Melissa Krag told NRK on Wednesday morning.
No one witnessed the fall, but people who came to the scene shortly after the incident alerted the emergency services.
– We have formed an initial picture of the sequence of events. We are working on the basis of various hypotheses, and as of now cannot rule out a criminal act, said Krag.
– I do not want to go into which hypotheses apply. I also do not want to comment on the state of health of the injured man, said police attorney on duty Anders Bækkemoen shortly afterwards.
Both the police, ambulance and fire service rushed to the address.
