Mangaluru: A young bank employee was found dead at her residence. Shruti (30), daughter of Kollegal Mallappa of Chikkamagaluru and Mandya Regional Office Manager of Karnataka Grameen Bank, died. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that he took his life after his dream of civil service was not fulfilled. The Mandya police said that they found a suicide note that said, ‘IAS dream is not fulfilled.’
Shruti, who was working at Karnataka Grameen Bank Chikkamagaluru branch for seven years, moved to Mandya two months ago. He lived there alone in a rented house.
He called his father on his mobile phone at 7 pm on Sunday and immediately cut off the conversation. When I called back, the phone was switched off. By the time the relatives of Mandya were informed, they reached the residence and found the woman hanging from the ceiling fan.
