Actor Lee Sung-kyun, who played one of the main roles in the film “Parasite”, was found dead in Seoul. reports South Korean agency Yonhap.

According to the publication, the body of the 48-year-old actor was found in a car in a park in central Seoul. It is believed that Lee Sun Gyun committed suicide. According to Yonhap, before his disappearance, the actor left a note at home that looked like a suicide note.
In the fall of 2023, South Korean police began an investigation into Lee Sung-kyun. He was suspected of drug use. The actor himself claimedthat drugs could have been planted on him for blackmail purposes. He has been questioned by police several times in recent months. He also took two drug tests, both of which came back negative.
Lee Sung-kyun played the role of Mr. Park in the film “Parasite” directed by Bong Joon-ho, which received four Oscar statuettes in 2020. In 2021, the actor starred in the leading role in the TV series Dr. Brain, for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award.
