Terrible tragedy in Morocco. Oussama Falouh, 24-year-old football player, has died. It was his club, Wydad Casablanca, which announced it this Thursday. Victim of a very serious road accident on October 11 involving a heavy goods vehicle, he succumbed to his injuries after being placed in intensive care in a city hospital. The Moroccan player died after three weeks in a coma.
Oussama Falouh had been trained at the Mohamed VI academy, from which Youssef En-Nesyri, Nayef Aguerd, formerly of Stade Rennais, Hamza Mendyl and Soufiane Malka came. Never playing in Ligue 1, he had passed through the reserves of Angers and Strasbourg, and had also spent part of his career with US Avranches, in National.
The left back had thus participated in two Coupe de France matches, in addition to his 22 appearances in the championship. During his training, Oussama Falouh notably became close to Azzedine Ounahi, Moroccan international and today a player for Olympique de Marseille. They found themselves in the ranks of US Avranches then Angers.
