Kochi: A girl who was hacked by a young man in Ernakulam’s Kurupampadi has died. Alka Anna Binu (20), daughter of Paniyatan Binu Jacob and Manchu, died at Kurupampadi Rayamankalat. Iringol Mukalamncheri Basil (21), who had hacked the girl, hanged himself at home after the attack.
The attack took place on September 5 for rejecting a love proposal. The girl was under treatment for eight days. The girl’s grandfather Ousep and grandmother Chinnamma were also injured in the attack by the young man.
