The motorsport world is mourning the tragic death of Dilano van ‘t Hoff, Dutch driver in Alpine’s European Formula Regional Championship.
The 18-year-old driver ended up being the victim of a collision involving several cars at the exit of the Raidillon, one of the fastest, most mythical and most dangerous corners in motorsport.
Under the rain and with a lot of spray on the track making it difficult for the drivers to see in that area of the circuit, Van ‘t Hoff lost control of the car after a first accident involving another driver and was violently hit by the car of another participant.
Less than four years ago, Frenchman Anthoine Hubert, then a Formula 2 driver, lost his life after an accident at the same location. He was 22 years old.
