The police named the cause of death of a boy who died after a visit to the dentist in Ternopil
The cause of death of a child at a dentist’s appointment in Ternopil was acute pulmonary heart failure. The body of a boy aged 1 year and 10 months could not withstand general anesthesia.
About it reported at the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Facebook. The tragedy happened the day before. The police are continuing their investigations.
“According to the forensic medical examination, the preliminary cause of death is acute pulmonary heart failure. Law enforcement officers are taking exhaustive measures for a comprehensive, complete and impartial study of all the circumstances of the case,” law enforcement officers wrote.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the day before the boy was brought to the medical facility by his mother to remove his dental caries. The dentist explained that the baby needs to be given general anesthesia, as required by the procedure.
Before accepting the child for surgery, he was sent for tests. After only an hour and a half of the operation, the boy’s blood pressure began to drop sharply, he was urgently sent to intensive care, but, despite the efforts of the doctors, the child died.
