On the afternoon of this Monday, January 22, around 3:40 in the afternoon, the death of Carlos Mario Molina, lawyer of the Attorney General’s Office, was reported.

According to preliminary information, the lawyer had not communicated with his family since last Saturday and the neighbors had not reported movement for several days, which raised the alert among the authorities.
The official’s body was found with a bag over his head, which indicates that he died from asphyxiation. However, a group from the Prosecutor’s Office, with forensics and investigators, are moving forward with the collection of testimonies, security videos and evidence inside the apartment.
The Attorney General’s Office, for its part, sent a message of condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Molina, who was part of the 21st Judicial Prosecutor’s Office II for Administrative Conciliation of Florencia, Caquetá.

Molina served as a judicial attorney since 2017, and was assigned to processes in Florencia (Caquetá). Previously, he served as Executive Director of the Colombian Association of Law Schools.
In addition, the lawyer, who had a doctorate in Law from the Panthéon-Assas University (Paris, France), was a professor at the University of Medellín.
