Sport Clube Estrela, a club that competes in the AF Portalegre district championship, mourned, this Tuesday, the death of athlete Evaldir Veiga Borges, aged 24. The Portuguese-Cape Verdean forward lost his life following a collision between the car he was traveling in and a heavy vehicle.
The player spent almost his entire career in the district of Setúbal, playing for clubs such as Pinhalnovense, Amora, Águas de Moura, Vitória de Setúbal B, Loures and Comércio e Indústria. Last Sunday, Evaldir Borges made his official debut for Estrela.
