Alex Caba Gutiérrez died dramatically on his 33rd birthday when the luxury car he was traveling in crashed into an MTA bus in Brooklyn (NYC).
According to the New York police, Caba was ejected from a red Mercedes-Benz that was going to speeding after what his driver friend ran a red light and crashed into a B48 bus at the corner of Harrison Ave. and Lorimer St. in Williamsburg around 9:45 pm on Monday. After the collision The friend and other occupants of the car fled on foot, leaving the victim bleeding on the sidewalk.he detailed Daily News.

Video captured the Mercedes-Benz speeding into the intersection just inches ahead of the oncoming bus. The bus struck the rear passenger side of the sedan, causing it to spin out of control onto the sidewalk.
Caba was thrown from a right-side rear seat window and landed on the asphalt, the police said. The car then crashed into a Citi Bike kiosk, police added.
As Caba lay dying in the street, the car’s driver and three other people in the wreck fled on foot, police and an MTA source said. Emergency medical services took the injured man to Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
Olga Caba, mother of the victim, said of the fugitive driver: “I want him to turn himself in. He just let his friend die. As a friend you should want to stay and help… They escaped. “They left Alex alone.”
The 31-year-old bus driver and a passenger were taken to Wyckoff Medical Center with minor injuries. Miraculously, no other injuries were reported. Police were searching yesterday for the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, whose name has not been released.
