The 19-year-old son of a former YouTube executive died on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley where he lived, officials and a relative reported.
Marco Troper He was found unconscious in the Clark Kerr Campus sector of the university on Tuesday afternoon, the academic institution confirmed. He was later pronounced dead by firefighters, the institution said.
Esther Wojcicki, mother of former YouTube executive Susan Wojcicki, said on Facebook that the family is “devastated beyond belief” for Troper’s death.
There is no sign that there was any illegality, and the Alameda County coroner’s department will investigate and determine the cause of death, said Janet Gilmore, director of strategic communications for the university.
“Marco He was the most noble, kind, intelligent and fun human being.“wrote the grandmother on Facebook. She “was just beginning her second semester at UC Berkeley, concentrating on math, and she loved it.”
The woman also highlighted in her post that Marco “told them endless stories about his life and friends in Berkeley.

“Marco’s life was gone too soon. And we are all devastated, thinking about the opportunities and life experiences that he will never have and that we will never all have together,” he added.
And he closed his message: “Marco, we all love you and miss you more than you will ever know.”
