17-year-old hockey player of the Kemerovo “Kuzbass” Yevgeny Khvalko died after being bitten by a tick. This is reported on site Federation of bandy of Russia on Thursday, August 3.
“On Wednesday, August 2, Kuzbass youth player Yevgeny Khvalko passed away. Alas, after several weeks of fighting for his life, the talented hockey player died as a result of complications caused by tick-borne encephalitis.
The 2022/2023 season was in many ways a breakthrough for the son of the famous midfielder and Kuzbass coach Yevgeny Khvalko: 17-year-old Khvalko Jr. scored 20 points in Major League matches. In April, together with the juniors of Kuzbass, the guy won the Russian Championship in Irkutsk.
