A 17-year-old sick girl lost her life after being “thrown out” from a hospital in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Her family members claimed that the hospital provided the wrong treatment to the sick girl and the employees discharged her after her health deteriorated, according to what was reported by the website. India Today.
The girl was admitted to the hospital two days ago after she developed a mild fever. She was receiving medical treatment at Radha Swamy Hospital in Mainpuri. Her condition began to deteriorate on Thursday.
Her family members claimed that the girl received “the wrong treatment.” “Instead of making arrangements to transfer her to another hospital, the staff took the patient out of the hospital and then fled,” news agency PTI quoted the family as saying.
A video of the incident circulated on social media. The photo shows a 17-year-old girl lying on a bike, while a man, perhaps a relative of hers, appears to be carrying her, and the girl appears lifeless.
A woman was seen crying and checking the girl’s breathing. The 17-year-old then died outside the hospital building.
Shortly after the minor’s death, the incident was reported to the police and the girl’s body was sent for examination.
A team from the Ministry of Health and an assistant chief physician also arrived at the scene. Since there were no private doctors in the hospital, all the patients were transferred to CHC Hospital, and the private hospital was closed.
The testimonies of doctors whose names were used in the hospital’s registration are also being investigated.
