In complete calm, and without condolence, some of the residents of the village of Sinoufar in Fayoum, the body of Khaled Ferjani, who died in the Minya public prison, due to his suffering from high blood pressure accompanied by a brain hemorrhage while awaiting the execution of the death sentence issued against him by the Fayoum Criminal Court in 2020, which was issued by Counselor Yasser Muharram, the head of the court, after receiving the decision of the Grand Mufti approving the execution of the accused.
Khaled Ferjani grew up in a simple family, but he armed himself with the weapon of knowledge until he obtained his higher degree in the English language, and supported it with courses at the American University until he became a certified translator for many authorities and language centers.
There, in the quiet village of Sinoufar, which is affiliated with the Fayoum Center, “Khaled” began to think about what was to come, and at that time the winds often came with what the “ships” did not desire.
“Dubai” was the most suitable destination for the ambitious young man looking for wealth, especially with his choice of the field of real estate investment, which the emirate is famous for, so he tried to develop his fields of work by employing his abilities to borrow money from people there and in his town in Fayoum, after he rented a luxurious apartment in the upscale Al-Masala neighborhood and rented another place in the same area. Its area is to establish a center for developing physical fitness, weight loss and treatment of obesity diseases.
And as the common proverb said, “If the greedy appear, the swindlers spread.” This is how the ancients said wisdom that spreads through time, but “Khaled” may not have taken it into account, or perhaps he did not know that luck had always helped him in his life.
Perhaps intelligence betrayed “Khaled” when his new friends convinced him of the idea of buying a house with an “archaeological treasure” underneath it as an easy way to get rich quickly and achieve a dream he had since childhood. He paid them sums of money, after which they threatened to kidnap and kill his wife and children if he asked them to return it again.
Then he repeated and stated before the investigation authorities that he had obtained money from some of his villagers and the neighboring hamlets on the pretext of sending them abroad, contrary to the truth, as he was getting this money to face the burdens of life, especially when he was subjected to a fraud by some of his partners who reside in the UAE, after the collapse of the real estate investment company that they were managing, but it also suffered great losses.
“The winds do not always come with what the ships desire.” The rural young man accumulated debts, and pressures aggravated him and his inability to meet the requirements of a life he was accustomed to and transfer his habit to his simple family. He stood helpless in front of what he faced with the demands of his villagers who were asking him to return the money he got in exchange for their travel to the UAE, while others fell prey to employing his money in exchange for large interest many times what the banks give.
“Khaled” made a mistake when he was preoccupied with a destiny that is in the hands of the Lord of the Worlds, despite his work at the Azhari Institute, but he made a mistake again when he thought that “death is the solution.” The idea was brewing in his mind and he began planning to end the lives of the closest people to him for fear that he would not be able to provide an appropriate level of decent life for them.
The first steps of actual implementation began, after he traveled to the UAE on a quick trip that did not take more than 24 hours. Khaled bought a “cleaver” from the Ruby area in the city of Fayoum and returned to his home. He sat looking at his wife, Karima, 33 years old, and his children, Anas 11 years old, Aya 8 years old, Menna 4 years old, and Tasneem a year and a half, knowing that it was the last night.

The scene of his wife embracing their infant daughter, “Tasnim”, was not lost on his memory, so he told it to the ears of the Public Prosecutor during the investigations, so that he could find the opportunity to praise his wife’s virtues, and confirm that what he did was because of suspicion or misbehavior, but for fear of a dark future, and to escape from a bitter reality.
The accused confessed to killing his children and wife out of mad love, and that he wanted to commit suicide, but himself and his life were dear to him and he could not throw himself out of his apartment in the Obelisk area, where he abandoned his village and his simple house to live in the most prestigious areas of Fayoum, in order to delude his creditors that he is well off, especially since the people of the village know that he memorized the Qur’an and is fluent in reading it seven times, in addition to his mastery of the English language, which qualified him to work in many hotels in Dubai.
Narrated by the accused Khaled. Moments of the beginning of his thinking about committing the crime in front of Counselor Yasser Muharram, the head of the Fayoum Criminal Court, saying: I completed memorizing the Noble Qur’an and found its recitation in English and my life was very calm and easy until I had a financial crisis and I was unable to pay a million and a half pounds that I collected from some of the people of the village to employ them, and they began to demand my father and mother to pay off my debts and problems occurred between me and my family, so I took my wife and children and we moved from the family house to an apartment in the Queen’s Tower until I received threats from creditors By harming my wife and children I reached out to rape and kill her.
The accused added, “I love my family madly and obsessively, and I cannot bear that evil befalls them, so the sentence “of love is what kills” echoed in my mind, so I decided to end their lives with my own hands instead of others harming them. That’s dead.
And about the day the crime was committed, the accused said: I went to buy a cleaver “from the Al-Nafe neighborhood next to the Sidi Ali Al-Ruby mosque to use it in the crime and end the lives of each of them with one blow without torturing them. I sat in my apartment with them until they all went to sleep and I stayed awake until he performed the dawn prayer. Then my daughter asked to drink water, so I gave her water. I waited until eight o’clock in the morning, then I carried the cleaver and entered the room of my wife and daughters. I killed my wife first and in her lap our little girl with a blow to each of them on the head, then he hit the other two children and went to my son’s room. I also hit him with one hit and the whole thing took about 7 minutes.
The accused added, “I left the cleaver next to the corpses of my family, washed my hands of the blood, then returned to take the cleaver, gave them one last look, and went directly to the police station. I confessed my crime in full so that I could be tried and executed as soon as possible.”
A death sentence was issued for the accused, and he was appealed by way of cassation, as the accused remained imprisoned, waiting for Ashmawy to appear from one moment to the next, except that God’s judgment was carried out before the executioner took him to the death row, so that he could write the story of a diligent young man, but he lost his way through bad friends.
A security source revealed that the death of the accused of killing his family occurred before the execution of the death sentence against him.
