A 6-year-old girl’s Christmas was marred by tragedy due to the sudden death of her mother in her Brooklyn (NYC) apartment.
According to police, the girl called 911 after her 46-year-old mother collapsed in her apartment in the public housing complex (NYCHA) at 630 Kingsborough 6th Walk near Ralph Ave. in the neighborhood Crown Heights just before noon yesterday, reported Daily News.
Paramedics rushed to apply advanced life-saving techniques, but the woman died at the scene. The city’s medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death. Her name has not been revealed.
There were apparently no other people in the apartment and the girl was found unharmed. No further information was available at this time.
The day before, a man was arrested on suspicion of killing his 61-year-old father hours before Christmas Eve in the home they shared in New Jersey.
