An 18-year-old driver lost his life after going off the road on Saturday evening in Saint-Wenceslas, Centre-du-Québec.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 6th row. There were two people in the vehicle.
“According to initial information, a vehicle traveling eastbound left the road,” said SQ spokesperson Ève Brochu-Joubert. The driver, an 18-year-old man, was transported to the hospital center where he was declared dead.
The passenger was transported to the hospital center for injuries that would not be life-threatening,” she added.
A collision investigator studied the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the off-road excursion. The cause of the accident is still unknown. The investigation is continuing.
