In the Mestre area of Venice, Italy, a bus fell from a height of about 10 meters and caught fire, leaving people dead and injured.
This was reported by “European Truth” with reference to Correre della Sera.
According to preliminary data, on Tuesday evening the bus drove off the roadway on an overpass, broke through a fence and fell from a height of about ten meters. During the fall, it touched power lines and caught fire because it was powered by methane.
The Prefecture of Venice said at least 21 people were killed in the accident, another 12 were injured and several were missing.

The city’s health department mobilized all hospital emergency departments. At least 40 ambulances arrived at the scene of the accident. Firefighters have also arrived at the scene and are trying to put out the fire.

The bus belonged to a company that provided transportation for camping, so it was full of people.
Prime Minister Georgia Meloni expressed her “deepest condolences, as well as the sympathy of the entire government” over the accident in Mestre.
Let us recall that last month at least two people died as a result of an accident with a bus on the Cetinje-Budva highway in Montenegro. Ukrainians were also injured in the accident.
