The accident happened on national highway 5 in Florø in Kinn municipality. Two cars with a total of five people were involved.
In one car sat a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s. They have both been transported to the hospital in Førde by ambulance and air ambulance. They are described as slightly injured.
The other car caught fire after the collision.
– The car that was on fire was burnt out, and in the burnt out car there were three people, all three of whom have been confirmed dead, says police prosecutor Ole Vallestad Emmerhoff in the West police district.
