On Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2020, a 15-year-old driver of a motorcycle sustained fatal injuries in a self-accident on Wildspitzstrasse in Steinerberg.
According to previous knowledge, the young person drove uphill on Wildspitzstrasse alone with a friend’s motorcycle at around 4.15 p.m. During a turning maneuver in the Schwand area, he lost control of the vehicle and fell about three meters into a creek bed. The 15-year-old was so seriously injured in the fall that he died at the scene of the accident. The exact course of the accident is being investigated by the Schwyz canton police.
In addition to the Schwyz canton police, the REGA air-rescue service, the rescue service and a care team were on duty.
