Sad news from Stuttgart: Jochen Goetz, Chief Financial Officer of the truck manufacturer Daimler Truck, died “suddenly and unexpectedly” in an accident at the weekend, as the group announced. Goetz was 52 years old. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
“The death of Jochen Goetz is a huge loss for Daimler Truck, both personally and professionally. I’ve known Jochen Goetz for over 20 years and have always had an excellent working relationship with him in a wide variety of positions,” said Martin Daum, CEO of Daimler Trucks. Goetz was a Daimler truck with heart and soul and played a key role in shaping today’s company, says Daum.
