A 23-year-old mechanic lost his life after being crushed under a car in a mechanical maintenance garage in Roberval, Lac-Saint-Jean, Wednesday evening.
The event took place at the start of the evening at the Peintures d’auto Roussel company, located on Boulevard de l’Anse.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) went to the site, but it was the Commission for Standards, Equity, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST) which took over in this matter.
The organization indicates that the victim was working under the vehicle in question when it fell on him. But few details are currently known regarding the unfolding of the drama.
“The investigation will help clarify the circumstances of the accident. Investigators went there on Wednesday and Thursday to try to shed light on all this,” explains David Blouin, spokesperson for the CNESST.
