Social networking sites in Syria were shaken by the news of the death of a woman named Rawa Badran, 30, who was shot in the Sahnaya area in rural Damascus, while accusations circulated about her husband’s involvement in her death.
Local media reported that the victim’s body was found in her home soaked in blood, and that her six children heard gunfire in the house.
According to the “Athar Press” website, when the police and criminal security arrived at the scene, the husband said that she committed suicide in his absence, and tried to leave the house before his arrest, but investigations with him are continuing and it has not been confirmed until this moment that he was involved in her death.
And the source added that the victim’s relatives rushed to the house in search of the husband to avenge their daughter, but they did not find him.
One of the victim’s relatives stated that the man had a great disagreement with his wife, to the extent that he did not allow her to visit her family.
The image of the victim was spread on the pages of many followers on Facebook, along with posts that demanded the taking of a wonderful right to spare society additional cases of crimes of violence against women, according to what was stated in the posts.
