Toluca, State of Mexico; April 8, 2023.
Rrecord the death of a young man of approximately 17 years of age after trying to swim in the La Providencia pond in the community of San Martín Toltepec.
The minor would have attended the place to celebrate Glory Saturday with his relatives when he lost his life.
The male was rescued moments later and was left on the side of the pond located between Bugambilias and Claveles streets around noon.
Elements of the Mexican Prosecutor’s Office came to the place who were aware of the facts and began an investigation folder to determine the details of the death.
In addition, this day similar events were also recorded at the Tepaltitlán dam in San Felipe del Progreso where a person died after a group of friends went in to have fun according to reports.
