(CNN) – 16 people were killed in a shooting incident that occurred in the city of Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night, according to statements from law enforcement sources to CNN.
The sources added that between 50 and 60 people were injured, although it is not clear the final number of those injured.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office in the state posted on Facebook photos of the suspect involved in the shooting incident.
Police said: “Please stay off the roads to allow ambulance personnel to reach the hospital.”
