The tribute took place this Thursday at the Brown Memorial Baptist Church. Before reaching the church, the float with the minor’s body left at the corner where the accident occurred: North Portland Avenue and Myrtle Avenue.
The victim was crossing the street on a scooter when the tragedy occurred. He was heading to school, accompanied by his mother.
The tow truck was driven by a 54-year-old woman who remained at the scene after the accident. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
