At least 14 people have been killed in a plane crash in Brazil. The accident happened in the Amazon region, about 400 kilometers from the city of Manaus in the north of the country.
According to a local mayor, it was a medium-sized plane and all occupants were killed; twelve tourists, the pilot and a co-pilot.
Brazilian media report that Americans are also among the dead. It concerns recreational fishermen who were on their way to go fishing.
The weather was bad at the time of the crash. It was raining heavily when the plane crashed. It is not known whether the weather played a role. According to the company that operated the flight, the aircraft was technically in order.
