Tragedy in Tuscany: the lifeless bodies of mother and son found

The story of the double death of a mother and son found dead in the garden of their house in the countryside of Orbetello (Grosseto) takes on the contours of a family tragedy. The bodies have currently been identified by the police as those of Mario Tinto, 71 years old, and his mother Gina Tinto, 92 years old. A passerby this afternoon noticed the woman’s body lying face down in the driveway of the house, located in an isolated area, towards the San Donato hamlet. Thinking he was ill, he called for help. Then the man’s body was found inside an artesian well. The causes of their deaths are under investigation and medical-legal examinations are underway. But from an initial reconstruction it seems that the man, a retired agricultural entrepreneur, was working on a breakage at the bottom of the artesian well on their property, a villa immersed in the countryside between San Donato and Osa, a very isolated place reachable only by local road. This location prevented the bodies from being discovered earlier.

The deaths could date back to this morning, or perhaps yesterday. In any case, the same reconstruction that is currently followed by the Carabinieri of Orbetello and the investigative unit of Grosseto, together with the magistrate on duty Giovanni De Marco, adds that the man may have suffered an illness while he was repairing the well. into the well and that his elderly mother, not seeing him return home, went to look for him.
