A traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday in Thessaloniki, when a car fell into Thermaikos gulf, at the height of the sailing group.
The incident occurred at 3 am, with the elderly driver (about 80 years old according to local media) losing control of his vehicle under unclear circumstances.
The fire department with 11 firefighters, 2 vehicles and the 2nd EMAK emergency department rushed to the scene, extricating the unconscious driver.

The unfortunate man was picked up by EKAV and taken to Papageorgiou Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
