Tragedy in the province of Perugia: 3-year-old girl dies in the pool – Chronicle

Foligno (Perugia), 12 May 2020 – Tragedy in the countryside of Foligno, 3-year-old girl died. This morning, in the Capodacqua area of ​​Foligno la little girl si is removed from her home in Poggiarello together with the three family dogs, two labradors and another little dog. The alarm for his disappearance was given around 1pm.

Research was carried out throughout the territory with the Carabinieri of Major Alessandro Pericoli Ridolfini and the Fire Brigade, together with the police coordinated by the deputy chief Bruno Antonini. A helicopter that took off from Arezzo also supported the research.

The little one was found dead around 4.45 pm in the dirty water of a swimming pool located in a former abandoned farmhouse. The body was spotted by the carabinieri helicopter that flew over the area.

The little girl was on her stomach, wearing the clothes with which she had left. She was rescued unnecessarily by the carabinieri on the spot. The two labradors had remained close to her, on the edge of the swimming pool. The place where the girl was found is one and a half kilometers away as the crow flies from her home. It is not clear how the girl managed to reach it alone, on foot, that uninhabited house, nor how it got there. The soldiers of Perugia, now engaged in the investigation, are attempting to reconstruct the dynamics of what has happened since the call that denounced the disappearance of the child arrived.

We listen to the parents, we look for video surveillance cameras, difficult to find in a wooded area, and with the on-site inspection we will try to understand how the little girl sneaked into the house with the swimming pool. At the moment it seems that it was an accident, but obviously no other hypotheses are left out.

Nobody, according to what emerged at the time, would have seen the little girl walk or enter the garden of the house where she was later found.
