The disaster was reported at 7:42 p.m.
Four men sailed the boat. The two escaped – they sailed ashore themselves. And the other two, 50 and 34, are thought to drowned. Firefighter rescuers searched for them until dusk, but to no avail.
According to police, on May 30, one of the dead turned 50 years old. It is believed that the anniversary was celebrated on Sunday and the participants in the celebration were not sober.
Four people were killed in the country on Sunday: two were fatally injured in the crashes drivers (Šalčininkai and Mažeikiai districts) and two are believed to have drowned.
