On Saturday evening, August 24, a tragic event took place in Piekary Śląskie. An unconscious 16-year-old boy was found in one of the apartments on Sokołów Street. The teenager lost consciousness while bathing. Despite immediate resuscitation by the medical rescue team, the boy’s life could not be saved.
The emergency services that arrived at the scene conducted tests for the presence of carbon monoxide in the apartment. A high concentration of this dangerous gas was detected only in the bathroom, where the boy was. It was probably carbon monoxide that caused the tragic death of the 16-year-old.
