At least three people have been killed and more than 200 injured by gas explosions in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
According to the police chief in the Embakasi district, where the explosions took place, one of the fatalities was a child. Police expect to recover more bodies in the coming hours.

About midnight a huge explosion occurred. “A truck loaded with gas exploded, causing a fireball that spread. The fire spread to nearby houses,” say the authorities. There were also explosions there.
Shops, cars and houses were reportedly damaged. Images of a large fire in the area are circulating on social media.
