In an Instagram post, Tom shares the terrible news with his followers. “I can’t believe I have to write this,” he begins his message. “But my dear Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away Saturday morning on June 18th.”
–
“What should have been the happiest day of our lives has ended in irreversible heartbreak,” he continues. “I feel like I’ve cried an ocean. We never made it to the altar and we never got to say our vows to each other or do our first dance together. But I know you are my world and the best thing that ever happened to me.”

In his text, Tom promises Dani that he will wear his ring after all as a token of his undying love for her. What makes the situation extra sad is that the two have an eight-month-old son named Bowie. “I’ll do anything to raise Bowie the way you wanted me to. I promise he will know how wonderful his mother was. I promise I’m going to make you very proud.’

Tom became known for his participation in the British version of X Factor in 2014, in which he competed as one of eight members of the boy band Stereo Kicks formed during the program. He initially auditioned, like the other band members, as a solo artist.
