On Saturday, August 3, the 30th St. Dominic’s Run took place. One of the competitors, a 71-year-old man, collapsed during the 5 km run. Despite immediate rescue efforts, the man died in hospital.

– We regret to inform you that during the Men’s 5 km Run, one of the participants fainted. Medical assistance was immediately provided, the competitor was resuscitated and taken to the hospital, where resuscitation was continued, but the competitor unfortunately died. We express our deepest condolences to the Family and Loved Ones – the organizers of the St. Dominic’s Run wrote on their FB profile.
The man was 71 years old.
It was the 30th edition of the race, which has accompanied the St. Dominic’s Fair since 1994, in which over a thousand competitors took part.
