It was a tragedy that took place this Monday, March 11, in the evening, at the Dijon SNCF station. It was around 11:30 p.m. when the firefighters were called for a train accident at the Dijon SNCF station, on the rue Albert 1er side.
A collision had just occurred between a freight train and two SNCF maintenance workers. The accident took place outside Dijon station, in the Dijon – Paris direction.
The Dijon firefighters, with a SMUR team, were only able to note the death of one of the two victims, namely a man. The second agent, a man, was also injured and classified as a relative emergency.
Four other people, witnesses to the accident, including a 39-year-old woman, and three men aged 31, 21 and 24, were treated by Samu. The medical-psychological emergency unit was triggered.

A deputy mayor of Dijon went to the site. The Dijon police have opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
