NEW YORK – A child barely one year old died and three others were rushed to hospitals due to an incident that occurred Friday afternoon at the Divino Niño daycare center in the Bronx, in which drugs such as main cause.
Minutes before 3 p.m., a worker called EMS to the child care center at 2707 Morris Avenue in Kingsbridge.
“ None of the three children were responsive and showed symptoms of opioid exposure. “Narcan was administered to these three children in an attempt to save their lives,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said Saturday.

Narcan is a brand name with the active substance naloxone, used to treat drug overdoses.
They remove carbon monoxide
After the minors were taken from the daycare, firefighters analyzed the air at the site for environmental hazards; They then ruled out any evidence of carbon monoxide.
A search warrant was then executed at the location, where they found a drug packaging device.
Forensics will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death of the victim, while urine and blood will be taken from the surviving children in search of knowing exactly what type of drug they were exposed to.
Police confirmed that the owner of the place was detained for questioning.
Two 2-year-old children and an 8-month-old baby remained hospitalized.
Divino Niño opened its doors this year. According to what is read outside the place, it is a care center for children from 6 weeks old to 12 years old.
