The tragedy of the 25th World Scout Jamboree, a festival for boy and girl scouts held in Saemangeum, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, is causing controversy in the Korean political world.
6 years of preparation, but incredible physique
About 40,000 teenagers from all over the world will participate in this tournament, and before the opening, South Korea was full of rosy prospects that “the economic effect will reach 6 trillion won”, but when the lid is opened, preparations are lacking. Korea, which has hosted a jamboree 31 years ago, has successfully hosted two Olympic Games. The area was finally selected as the venue for the tournament.
However, despite six years of preparation, the Saemangeum Jamboree was expected to fail from the first day.
The main center, which had not yet been completed, was unusable, and the torrential rain just before the tournament had created puddles at the campsite, which did not have a drainage system. I had to put up a tent.
