New Delhi: The NIA today filed a charge sheet against two accused in an organized human trafficking case involving Chinese companies based in Golden Triangle Cess in Laos.

In a statement issued by the probe agency, the accused Balwant alias Bobby Kataria, a social media influencer, was arrested in a charge sheet filed in a special NIA court in Panchkula , Haryana, and his sponsor is Ankit Shokeen, who currently resides in Laos. running away The statement said the NIA investigation revealed that the accused and others were involved in recruiting and transporting innocent job seekers using fraud and false incentives.

They handed over their victims to Chinese companies in Laos. There they were forced to commit cyber fraud and scams under strict controlled conditions, the statement said. The investigation found that Chinese companies hand over victims’ passports and torture them physically and mentally when they refuse to commit cyber fraud.

Shokeen and Kataria conspired on the occasion. Kataria said the duo created MBK Global Visa Pvt Ltd, a visa consultancy, and capitalized on its popularity among youth to attract job seekers in countries such as Singapore.

Victims are often encouraged to travel to Laos after payment in advance. The statement said that investigation into the matter is continuing to identify other accused persons who were involved in the racket and break the entire syndicate.
