Traffic Unit Member (Lantas) South Jakarta Metro Police with the initials Bripka PS (40) found dead allegedly commit suicide by hanged oneself in an empty house in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta. The victim is thought to have died because of depression.
The Cempaka Putih Police Chief, Kompol Bernard Saragih, said that the victim was first found by an employee of the home owner at around 11.30 WIB this afternoon. Initially the person concerned wanted to clean the house which had been empty since the last 15 years.
“When the person who was told (to clean the house) came in, he smelled a bad smell and looked for the source, he saw that people were hanging themselves,” said Bernard to reporters, Tuesday (4/7/2023).
According to the statement from the family, Bripka PS has been missing for the past five days. This suicide is thought to have been triggered by depression.

“I met his parents five days ago, they were looking for them, they seemed depressed. In the end, they committed suicide,” he said.
Bernard also confirmed that Bripka PS did not die from self-immolation. According to him, the condition of the victim’s body was charred because he had died five days ago.
“It wasn’t self-immolation, so that’s because it happened five days ago so the body was burnt so black,” he said.
