A vehicle hit the barrier at the Tracy-sur-Loire level crossing, causing some traffic disruptions. Repairs are in progress.
The Tracy-sur-Loire crossing that protects the railway line that connects Nevers to Paris is, from time to time, the site of different disasters. This first Saturday in September, shortly after midday, a vehicle hit a level crossing barrier, causing extensive damage to property.
Traffic has resumed
Rail and road traffic on Section 4 connecting Cosne-sur-Loire to Saint-Satur (Cher) was stopped immediately. As soon as the SNCF workers arrived at the site, making sure that they were vigilant on this smooth route, it was possible to resume railway traffic. Repairs are underway and should be completed today.
As an unstable result, some trains were slowed down, such as TER 16840 from Tours to Lyon. He was expected in Nevers about twenty minutes late.
