These days, traffic on both roads has been restored along the Jūrmala highway, where extensive repair works are continuing, the Latvian State Roads (LVC) informed LETA.

The progress of construction works on the Jūrmala highway has allowed to remove a significant part of the traffic restrictions, and traffic has been restored along both highway carriageways. In the direction of Jūrmala, there is one widened lane with a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour (km / h). In the direction of Riga, traffic is organized in three lanes with a speed limit of 70 km / h. Temporary local traffic restrictions are possible on this highway.

Construction work on the national road network is currently taking place on more than 60 road sections. There are three traffic light sections and two others with priority road signs on the Saulkrasti bypass on the Tallinn highway. Until the weekend in the direction of Riga, the exit to the road Saulkrasti-Sēja-Ragana and also the exit from this road in the direction of Rīga will be closed to traffic. The stage can take up to an hour.

On the Jelgava highway in the section from Jaunolaine to the bridge over the Missis, traffic is organized along the Jelgava carriageway in one lane in each direction. The repair phase requires half an hour or even more on the way.
