Six people were involved in the incident – two adults and two minors in one car, and two adults in the other.
– It seems that they are conscious, but must have had some pain. But the situation is currently unresolved, said Ebbe Kimo, operations manager in Trøndelag police district shortly after the accident had occurred.
Shortly after 8 pm, both an ambulance and the fire brigade arrived on the scene. Namdal 110-central informed NA that none of the people who were in the cars were trapped after the accident.
Just after 9 pm, the police confirm that no one will be seriously injured.
– The health service reports that all six are slightly injured, says Kimo.
One person is still sent to hospital by air ambulance, while the other five are sent by ambulance.
The cause of the accident is said to have been that two moose got out of the way, and that one of the cars made an away maneuver that led to the frontal collision.
– What was said in the message reception was that two moose had gotten out of the way and made the cars collide head-on, Kimo says.
There was major material damage to the cars, and the road is still closed in both directions.
