Traffic Jams Expected in Linz on Friday Due to Football Game

Two big events will take place in Linz on Friday. The ÖFB European Championship qualifier on the Gugl against Azerbaijan and right next door in the Tips Arena there’s the “Riverdance Show”. Kick-off for the football game is at 8:45 p.m., the event in the Tips Arena starts at 8:00 p.m. The two venues are only about a minute’s walk away from each other, which is why the ARBÖ expects traffic jams.

Affected are the A7 in the entire city area, Unionstraße, Waldeggstraße and Ziegeleistraße.

No parking in front of Tips Arena

All those who still want to come by car: there is no possibility for “Riverdance” visitors to park in front of the Tips Arena. In the case of double events, the parking spaces are available to stadium visitors.

Inexpensive arrival

The OÖ Nachrichten also offers an extra service: you can park from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. in the underground car park of the Promenade Galleries at a cultural rate of EUR 4.50. From there you can take bus lines 26 or 27 to the international match or the “Riverdance Show” and back again.

Public transport is free
