It was very busy at a number of gas stations today, due to high discounts. According to local media, there was a traffic jam in Ospel, in Limburg, because of such a tank campaign. Cops should have been directing traffic.
A liter of gasoline cost 1,171 during the campaign. The current price for a liter of lead-free euro is currently about one euro higher.
TinQ’s tank campaign applied at four gas stations in the country. Two of them are located in Limburg, one in Utrecht and one in Overijssel. Motorists were able to fill their tank in the span of an hour for an old-fashioned fuel price. There will also be a few of those actions in other places in the coming days.
Also in Oostrum traffic jam
It was not only busy in Ospel today. Earlier in the day there was also a discount hour in Oostrum, which attracted many people. There were traffic jams in front of the gas station, but not everyone thought the wait was long. “The queue was not too bad. This is really an advantage,” a couple at the pump tells 1Limburg† “Coincidentally, the tank was empty, so this is convenient.”
Many motorists were also left disappointed. A few dozen people could get to the gas station in that one hour, but the lines were much longer in some places.
