Speeding was impossible this Thursday between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on the N145 between Montluçon and Guéret. At the wheel of their vehicles, the leaders of the CGT Allier and Creuse, accompanied by sympathizers from other unions including Force Ouvrière, carried out a snail operation which caused significant traffic jams. Eight kilometers according to the gendarmes present on the spot.
Two convoys on the N145
Leaving Montluçon shortly after 10 a.m., the Allier convoy joined that of Creuse which left Guéret around 10:30 a.m. at Gouzon, a Creuse town of 1,500 souls, around 12:45 p.m.

“Through this action, which is a success, we have demonstrated that our determination was complete even if on the side of the Allier, we were the subject of some pressure since, unlike the Creuse, the prefecture did not not authorized our action”, explains Laurent Indrusiak, general secretary UD CGT Allier.
A message to the employers’ address
“This symbolic action on an economic road axis is a message addressed to the employers. Since the demonstrations were not a sufficient mode of action to make the government back down, we must attack the economy of the country”, adds Laurent Margueritat, secretary general UD CGT Creuse.
The risk of precariousness
And the union official describes a worrying situation in the Creuse department: “We do not have large companies capable of setting up support plans for the return to work for people who are reaching the end of their course. If this reform is passed, it will plunge a large part of the workers into precariousness.
