Eramallur: A cargo lorry stuck across a lane due to the construction of the skyway created a traffic jam. The incident happened around 8 am yesterday. A cargo lorry passing through the national highway got stuck in front of the nearby wait bridge. Due to this, a row of vehicles got stuck and the traffic was blocked for several hours. The crane of the skyway construction company arrived and pulled out the stuck cargo lorry to restore traffic. The crane was brought after the efforts made by the locals to remove the lorry failed. Locals often complain that the vehicles get stuck here and traffic jams occur. Locals say that cargo lorries can be brought to the wait bridge through the old road to prevent such incidents from happening again.
