Traffic in Ciputat Tangsel is Severely Congested This Morning, Residents Request Road Widening

Jakarta

Traffic conditions in Ciputat, South Tangerangto Jakarta congested bad this morning. Residents hope the road widened to reduce congestion.

detikcom’s monitoring at 08.55 WIB, Thursday (2/3/2023) on Jl Ir H Juanda, Ciputat, South Tangerang, traffic jams only occur on roads leading to Jakarta. Meanwhile, traffic on the opposite side of the road is smooth.

The congestion is exacerbated by the existence of a number of turning points. The speed of the vehicle towards Jakarta is only about 20 km per hour.

The swarming of motorcyclists has exacerbated the traffic jam. There was also the sound of car horns honking at each other.

One of the residents, Bima (43), said traffic jams on this road are common, especially during working hours. He said traffic jams would be severe in the morning for traffic heading to Jakarta.

“As for here, it’s normal that the working hours are usually Monday to Friday, the traffic jams are really really all the way to Jakarta,” Bima said when met at the location this morning.

For this reason, Bima hopes that the road will be widened. This, according to him, can reduce congestion.

“The road repairs should have been carried out. It also needs to be widened,” he said.

The online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver, Barus (41), also conveyed the same thing. According to him, traffic jams in Ciputat are quite severe every morning.

“Severe traffic jams. Especially traffic jams here,” said Barus, Thursday (2/3).

Barus said, he was stuck in traffic almost every day. In fact, he often accompanied passengers in traffic jams.

“Yes, not often, almost every day,” he said.
