THE DRAMA: A foreign semi-trailer was parked in front of Nedre Eikervei between Grønland and Gulskogen in Drammen.
This has resulted in reduced access to the site and a number of traffic issues.
Footage from the scene showed the driver trying to put on a chain. After a while, the driver moved and the queues thinned out.
I would not recommend driving
Police operations director Roger Aaser says he was not informed of the incident. They still get messages about minor and major traffic problems from all over the district.
However, he doesn’t want to discourage people from using their car in snowy weather, as the Oslo police have done.
– There are different weather and road conditions throughout the district, so it’s completely a matter of what to do and how far. The most important thing is to read up, make sure you have good electricity or fuel, as well as good tires. That you simply take responsibility, explains Aaser.
No personal injury incidents have been reported so far, only minor accidents and vehicle stoppages.
