Unions denounce working days “ever longer and deteriorating living and working conditions day by day“.
They are protesting against the drop in the workforce which, according to them, leads to the refusal of leave and a drop in their average salary.
In a joint leaflet, the CGT-Cheminots, SUD-Rail and CFDT Cheminots unions explain that “since weeks”they “continue to challenge the management on the growing dissatisfaction“train drivers on the TGV Atlantique axis.
In a statement, SUD-Rail claims “recruitments needed to compensate for understaffing” as well as “the maintenance of the professional careers of drivers in the territories”, which “allow many drivers to be able to access the driving of the TGV and which the management now wants to question.”
Negotiations with unions on wages and working conditions “have been carried out for several days” and “could not find a favorable outcome at this stage“, said the management.
“Each customer concerned will be contacted in order to inform him about the circulation of his train“, underlined the management. The travelers concerned will be able to exchange their ticket or be reimbursed free of charge.
